Course Overview
The four-year BSc (Hons) Health and Social Science with Foundation Year programme focuses on interdisciplinary research and provides a strong understanding of society, health, communities, and workplaces.
The foundation year builds essential academic skills, critical thinking, communication, and research abilities to prepare students for degree-level study.
Over the following three years, students explore key topics such as mental health, ageing, equality and diversity, gender and sexuality, and global health from sociological and cultural perspectives, linking research with policy and practice.
The course also includes micro-modules that develop employability, digital skills, sustainability awareness, and personal development, alongside a dedicated programme designed to strengthen confidence, character, and leadership skills.
